Cheerleader Tryouts
April 17th

GENERAL 

--There will be no school on Friday, April 18th and Monday, April 21st.

--All juniors will take the ACT on April 23rd.

--Prom tickets are now on sale for the Junior-Senior Prom (May 17th).  The tickets are $30 per couple and $20 for single tickets.  See Mrs. Lisle to purchase tickets before school and at break.  The deadline is April 25th.

SGA elections will be May 23rd.  Campaigns will be May 21st and 22nd.  Applications are due May 9th.

Yearbooks are now on sale.  The cost is $40.  See Mrs. Cone.  You can also purchase a yearbook from last year.  Senior ads are also on sale and the deadline to purchase is May 2nd.


--There will be a community service opportunity this Saturday (April 19th) and April 26th.  Volunteers are needed to help with a bike ride that will benefit the Alabama Autism Society.  To learn more, call (256) 739-4413 or email at wandatownson@yahoo.com. BAND
--The color guard clinic will continue tomorrow and the tryouts are Thursday.

SPORTS
--The basketball banquet will be
Thursday night at 6 PM at Hanceville 1st United Methodist Church.

--The sign-up sheet for volleyball tryouts is in the office.

--There will be a preview Donkey Basketball Game on April 22nd at 1:30 PM.  The admission will be $2.  There will be a full game that night and the admission will be $5.

SENIORS
--Your senior fee is $120.  This covers the cost of the cap and gown, tassel, diploma printing and cover, and a yearbook.  Please pay this amount as soon as possible to either Mr. Adams in the library or to Mrs. Day.

Baccalaureate will be at 5 PM on Sunday, May 18th, at Hanceville 1st Baptist.  This event is sponsored by the church.

Graduation will be at 10 AM on Saturday, May 24th, in the Tom Drake Coliseum at Wallace State.

Seniors, your community service hours are due to Mrs. Koch by May 1st.

COLLEGES & SCHOLARSHIPS
--The deadline for the Lawson State Scholarship is today.  See Mrs. Koch.

--The deadline for the Xavier Malcom Scholarship (for athletes) is tomorrow.  See Mrs. Koch.

--A representative from the Art Institute of Atlanta will be here on Thursday during 4th Period.  The Institute offers degrees in art, culinary art, design, fashion, media, and more.  Sign up in the office.

--See Mrs. Koch about the Lions' Club Scholarship (to Wallace State) and the Cullman Coterie Scholarship.

OTHER
--Students, if you need an enrollment form in order to get your driver's permit, please request it the day before you need it.

--All excuses for absences and all bus passes should be brought to the office in the mornings, after the 1st bell.  Please be sure to include both your first and last name.
